We came to Vancouver Island looking for great hikes and adventure but wanted to do it without having to get guided tours so when we stumbled across Trekwest's website we couldn't have been happier. The pictures paint a picture that gave us a window into the hikes we wanted to do, giving us a taste of what was to come, just perfect! More pictures please, and we look forward to upcoming places to explore and adventures to be had. Our dogs Buddy and Cooper say an exhausted thank-you.

We did a photography workshop with Trekwest and it was amazing! Matt and Hayleigh from Trekwest are passionate and very knowledgeable mentors, and they're also THE kindest, most down-to-earth people you'll ever meet! They took us on a fun little road trip to a couple beautiful local spots, told us so many interesting facts about the places we saw or drove by, and showed us how to take different kinds of pictures (eg. long exposure) along the way. They explained the various camera settings in a way that made sense and was helpful. We also learned some cool/handy features about our cameras that I would have never known about or figured out on my own. Matt researched what kinds of cameras we had so he knew how to help us with them which I really appreciated. The hands on component of the workshop was something I found SUPER valuable! Yes, I could do the research on my own but being out and getting taught how, and then getting to practice in the different places was exactly what I needed to improve my skills... and let's be honest, most of us won't do the research on our own. They definitely know what they're talking about, they go the extra mile for you, and you can tell that they LOVE what they do. On top of being a great day out, we learned a lot, got some neat photos, drank some delicious coffee (roasted by Matt), and enjoyed the outdoors! Thank you so much, you two, for sharing your expertise and showing us a good time!

Trek West is a great tool for adventurers and photographers alike. I love being able to click on an image that I like, and find out exactly where that photo was taken. Trek West has helped guide my weekend adventures! I'm happy to see it expand not only across Canada but the world!!

Awesome website to explore new hikes and places to visit. I'm relatively new on the Island and use it all the time to find places to go. Hope it would be updated regularly to provide more options going forward
